Merger

Two Brothers Lemonade has expanded to 4 Cousins Lemonade! Customers were a plenty today with a 80 degees, a neighborhood garage sale and a soccer tournament going on down the street. We haven't couned the earnings yet, but I think it's about $45-50! The matching shirts really helped! ;-)

Belated Birthday Dinner

The only place where my children eat more than the adults!!!

The End

This past week marked the end of a lot of things around here. The end of karate, the end of baseball, the end of kindergarten for Nate.

Nate made a stellar play at our final baseball game - he caught the only fly ball to be caught all year. Nate was surprised and thrilled, as were most of us watching.

For me, this week had new beginning. I took a job with a company called Mack & Jacks Marketing Solutions. http://www.macknjacks.com/ I will be working from home, sometimes making calls to clients around town. I am very excited!

It keeps going and going and going...

The Energizer Bunny Hot "Hare" Balloon made a stop at Holy Trinity today. At 166 feet tall, (the height of a sixteen-story building and 15-feet taller than the Statue of Liberty), the Energizer Bunny Hot Hare Balloon is the world’s biggest hot air balloon. We were there this morning with Ian to watch them inflate the balloon then heat the air to put it up in the sky (but not fly it today). Joe V. from Channel 12 new was there to do a live broadcast. I think the Kindergartners favorite part was that they were invited to jump/roll/stomp the air out of the balloon after the event was over.
Joe V. from Good Day Oregon was on hand to broadcast live. See his story here http://www.kptv.com/video/19691595/

All Ears

This thing is heavy!

The last, and probably best part

From A to C

When Ian started swim lessons 8 weeks ago he was terrified of classes and teachers that weren't mommy or daddy, afraid to jump in the pool, didn't want to get his face wet much less put his face in the water, and on and on and on. Yesterday was the last day of our level A-B session and look at him now. Superman jumps in the water, floating and swimming alone on his back, steamboating alone with his face in the water, and on and on and on. He is still tentative about some things, which is beyond fine, and he will work on that. But dang, I never dreamed we would have this much progress in such a short period of time. Later this month he will join Nate in a level C-D class! Nate swims like a fish but needs to brush up on form and fundamental. Ian has form and fundamentals down and needs lot build the confidence to swim like a fish. Thanks teacher Nathan!

Ian Sleeps

Typical afternoon car ride
Costco cart

I am seriously considering starting a blog called "Ian Sleeps" and I will post pics of all the places this child will sleep. It fascinates me! Nate would probably bleed from the eyeballs before he would voluntarily sleep anywhere - as a toddler, or now! I swear, we put him to bed by 8 and he sleeps all night until at least 7am!
